Audio of May 19 joint meeting

The audio from the joint meeting between the Town Council, the School Committee, and South Kingstown's state legislators (Monday, May 18, 2009) is available at Archive.org. Also, read Liz Boardman's coverage in the South County Independent.

Andrew,

What procedures and/or hardware does South Kingston or you use to record and digitize the meetings?

The meeting was recorded by the Town Clerk. These records are the "transcript tapes" and are available for listening to in the Town Hall during normal business hours. Colleen Camp coordinated the transfer of the tape's audio to a DVD which I then used to convert to MP3 for uploading. Clearly, this is a cumbersome process and something better should be pursued. See my related postings Smartpens and public meeting
and IT is not a simple clerical matter.
